El Chorrillo, in the municipality of El Rosario, once again enjoyed the festivities in honor of San Isidro and Santa María de la Cabeza without restrictions. The day opened with the fifth test of the 2022 Canary Islands Government Trophy Tenerife Rural Foundation Cattle Drag Contest and, after the traditional Eucharist, sung by the soloist Miriam Cruz with the Menesteres Group, the long-awaited pilgrimage began.
After two years of suspension due to the pandemic, the organization opted for a short tour around the church square. At the end, the mayor of El Rosario, Escolástico Gil, presented the distinctions to the participating guayeros. The day of San Isidro ended with a lively afternoon festival, enlivened by the Tropín and Sonora Olimpia orchestras.
