SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Sep 2 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The President of the Government of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, and the Minister of Social Rights and the 2030 Agenda, Ione Belarra, have signed this Thursday an agreement for the execution of projects under the European Funds from the Mechanism for Recovery and Resilience by amount of 122.5 million until 2023.

Already throughout 2021 34 million will be received, followed by 41.9 million in 2022 and 46.5 million in 2023, and since they are funds from the ‘Next Generation’ program, their execution may last until 2026.

Both Torres and Belarra have stressed that these new economic resources will serve to enhance the “care economy” and will be a turning point to improve the application of the dependency law and social care in the islands.

(There will be enlargement)
