SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 21 December (EUROPA PRESS) –
A 33-year-old paraglider has sustained moderate injuries following a fall from the paragliding launch site into the Taucho ravine, located in Adeje (Tenerife), as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre of 112 in the Canary Islands.
The incident took place on Friday afternoon at the mentioned location, where members of the helicopter from the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) of the Government of the Canary Islands were dispatched to assist the individual. After securing her, they evacuated her to the helisurface of the Adeje Volunteer Firefighters.
Upon arrival, personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) confirmed that the individual had, at the time of initial assistance, sustained moderate trauma. Consequently, she was transported by ambulance to the Hospiten Sur University Hospital.
Additionally, personnel from the Tenerife Firefighters Consortium were involved in managing the situation, aiding in the recovery of the paraglider, along with officers from the Local Police, who prepared the necessary reports.
