The municipal group of the Canarian Coalition-Canary Nationalist Party (CC-PNC) in the El Rosario City Council has asked the local government to launch socio-economic revitalization actions for rural areas, as well as to carry out “publicity activities” of the educational centers that are in this area, «enhancing with participatory actions, families, teachers, groups, administrations involved, political parties, etc., with the aim of avoiding the disappearance of educational centers such as the CEIP Camino Erillas».
The nationalists, through the mayor Pedro Trujillo, assure that “it is necessary that from the field of local administration there be sensitivity when it comes to understanding the problem and its possible solutions, listening to families, neighbors and knowing how to empathize with their needs . The maintenance of this type of educational center must irremediably go hand in hand with the socioeconomic development of the areas of influence».
For CC, “it is more than curious that, in this second term of office of the same government group, there is not a single project for social and labor revitalization in the area, which makes it attractive for young people to settle there, socioeconomic factors as important as job opportunities in the field of supply, transport, early reception, extracurricular activities, etc.
«They are very important so that families opt to enroll their students in one center or another and, above all, settle in rural areas. Given the perspectives and the desire expressed by the government group for the population increase of the municipality to reach 20,000 inhabitants, it is contradictory that the continuity of these rural centers is not supported and this educational option may be lost, “says Trujillo. “El Rosario has a wide range of educational centers, both public and private,” says the press release sent by CC.
