Poderío Market Makes Its Debut in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

The Most Viral Design Market in Spain Debuts in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria: Over 70 Brands and Free Entry

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is gearing up to host one of the most popular design and trends events of the moment. Following its journey through several major cities in the country and becoming a viral sensation on social media, Poderío Market will celebrate its first edition in the Gran Canarian capital. The event will showcase over 70 emerging brands in fashion, craftsmanship, cosmetics, accessories, art, and lifestyle over a weekend at one of the city’s most iconic venues. It will take place at the Hotel Santa Catalina, adjacent to Parque Doramas, with free admission.

First Edition

The arrival of Poderío Market marks its debut in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria after previously visiting cities such as Seville, Malaga, Barcelona, and Tenerife. The organisers report that the previous experience in Tenerife was very well received, encouraging their return to the Canary Islands with a new stop in Gran Canaria. In recent years, the market has established itself as one of the most recognised travelling design events in the country, having held over 80 editions in more than 15 Spanish cities.

Dates and Times

The first edition of Poderío Market in Gran Canaria will take place on 27th and 28th June in the Las Palmeras hall of the Hotel Santa Catalina. The planned schedule is as follows:

  • Friday 27th June: 12:00 to 21:00 hours
  • Saturday 28th June: 11:00 to 21:00 hours

Entry will be completely free.

More Than 70 Brands

One of the main attractions of the event will be the presence of dozens of emerging brands from various parts of Spain, alongside projects launched by local Canary Island entrepreneurs. Visitors will discover offerings related to women’s fashion, jewellery, home decor, natural cosmetics, illustration, art, and independent design. The organisers particularly highlight brands such as Grandivashop, which specializes in waterproof jewellery and customizable charms; Fuerte Locura, inspired by surf culture and the Canarian lifestyle; and Luxalashop, which focuses on women’s fashion for the summer season.

Fashion and Wellbeing

The market will also feature spaces dedicated to wellbeing and self-care. Among these is Yes You Calm, which specializes in candles, incense, and natural cosmetics, alongside projects linked to handcrafted decor and sustainable design. The offerings will be complemented by brands like Karola and her Necklaces, inspired by ocean-themed jewellery, and Kai Creaciones, specializing in relief artworks inspired by the Atlantic beaches.

Boho Inspiration

Another trend that will take centre stage at this edition is the bohemian style. Brands such as Kurobohochic will present collections inspired by Ibiza, Tulum, and the boho chic universe, featuring artisanal garments and designs aimed at those seeking a more relaxed and summery aesthetic. According to the organisers, the goal is to provide an experience that extends beyond shopping, allowing attendees to discover new creative projects in a unique setting.

A National Phenomenon

Poderío Market began as an initiative aimed at promoting local talent, creative entrepreneurship, and responsible consumption. It has now become one of the most well-known design markets in Spain, combining fashion, art, gastronomy, music, and experiences in iconic spaces throughout various cities. Following its stop in Tenerife and now Gran Canaria, the organisers are already working on new locations for their summer tour, which will continue to expand across the country in the coming months.
