133 police officers will join the police stations in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

A total of 133 officers from the National Police, of whom 43 belong to the basic and sub-inspection ranks and 90 are police trainees, will join various police stations in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The officers were welcomed at the Provincial Police Station in Santa Cruz de Tenerife in an event presided over by the Deputy Government Representative in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Jesús Javier Plata Vera, along with the Chief Commissioner, Eloy Román López, as noted in a statement from the Ministry of the Interior.

The trainees have completed a training period at the National Police School in Ávila and will begin their practical period for one year in different police units, working alongside already assigned personnel in provincial, local, and district police stations to carry out functions related to citizen security, judicial police, immigration, information, and scientific police.

Of the 90 trainees, 80 will complete their training at the Provincial Police Station in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and 10 in La Palma.

According to the statement, the incorporation of these personnel responds to the National Police’s commitment to improving public safety in the islands during the summer season, providing support to operations and addressing various needs related to ensuring the protection of all citizens.
