A knife attack has shocked the northern part of Tenerife. On the morning of Wednesday, 10th April, a 71-year-old man was injured after being assaulted in La Matanza de Acentejo.
At Benavides street, at around 12:22 pm, the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands was alerted. The man was on the road and the Canary Islands Emergency Service went to the scene to assist the injured man.
The septuagenarian was stabilized and taken with serious injuries to the University Hospital of Canarias.

Police officers from the Guardia Civil also arrived at the scene, responsible for conducting the necessary proceedings, and the Local Police, who collaborated with the other emergency resources.
