Santa Cruz de Tenerife 26 Jan. (Europa Press) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife has earmarked 5.1 million euros for three key initiatives aimed at upgrading road signage, stabilising slopes, and enhancing guaguas stops.
The undertakings will take place on the TF-28, between La Centinela and La Camella, in the municipality of Arona; on the TF-334, which connects Los Realejos, San Juan de la Rambla, and La Guancha; and on the TF-215, linking La Sauzal with La Matanza, as outlined by the Insular Corporation in a statement.
Key Initiatives
The first strategic initiative will be executed on the TF-28 route, between La Centinela and La Camella, within the municipality of Arona. This project, with a financial allocation of 1.6 million euros and a duration of five months, incorporates roadway rehabilitation, installation of safety barriers, enhancement of the drainage system, and improvement of horizontal signage.
Furthermore, four guaguas stops will be revitalised in Valle de San Lorenzo, El Hornito, Las Flores, and La Florida.
On the TF-334, which links Los Realejos with San Juan de la Rambla and La Guancha, the roadway will be refurbished, drains in the gutters will be reconstructed, and both horizontal and vertical signage will undergo comprehensive renewal. This project, budgeted at 1.3 million euros, is set for an execution period of eight months.
Lastly, in the TF-215, which connects La Sauzal with La Matanza, the road surface will be improved and edge enhancement will take place to ensure increased safety for pedestrians, along with the renewal of seven guaguas stops. These works are scheduled for a duration of six months with a further investment of 1.2 million euros.
These efforts are supplemented by an additional project worth over one million euros aimed at improving signage and enhancing visibility on worn roads, as well as the recent 30 million euro investment in the South Highway (1), particularly in the segments of Arico, Fasnia, and Güímar.
