SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE Nov. 26 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The coalitions convening 20A, united under the Canarias Palante platform, have arranged the meeting ‘Everyone Together’ to coordinate and direct the essential actions needed to foster a transition in the economic and social model within the archipelago.
This event is scheduled for next Saturday, from 10:00 to 14:00, at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communication at the University of La Laguna.
Consequently, they mention in a collective statement that it will be determined “how to proceed” with the participatory process itself and “what actions to take” regarding the 1,200 proposals received, as the regional government has not replied to the request for the establishment of a negotiating table.
In this context, they assert that it is “indisputable” that the Canary Islands “are on the brink of environmental and social collapse,” and the living standards of the Canarian populace “are in serious decline.”
“At this moment, it is crucial for the voices and suggestions of those who experience life in the Canary Islands to be acknowledged, as the Canary Islands do not sell themselves; they cherish and protect their own. After the 20th, the 30th,” they emphasise.
