The refurbishment works on the southern highway (TF-1), as it traverses Arico, Fasnia and Güímar, are set to commence in the week of November 11 to 16 during night hours, and are expected to be completed within six months, as announced this Wednesday by the president of the Cabildo of Tenerife, Rosa Dávila.
During a press briefing regarding government council agreements, Dávila mentioned that this initiative has a budget exceeding 30 million euros, which will be allocated to addressing a segment of the TF-1 that accommodates over 50,000 vehicles daily.
The project encompasses more than 24 kilometres of roadway rehabilitation, which is currently in a severely degraded condition, along with its connections.
The island president has urged residents and road users travelling between these areas to exercise caution.
