The natural areas of Tenerife are treasures held by the Archipelago and the island itself. Therefore, it is our duty to care for and protect them so that they endure for a long time. Ours and that of the security forces, which will be more present on days with higher influx.
The Headquarters of the Comandancia de la Guardia Civil in Santa Cruz de Tenerife has hosted a coordination meeting this week to discuss the devices that have been established during the past May long weekend in the protected natural areas of Tenerife. It has been decided to continue in the same line of work with reinforcements, especially on weekends.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Colonel, as well as other representatives of the Guardia Civil in the province; the insular director of Natural Environment of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Pedro Millán; members of the Canary Islands Police Force; representatives of the Local Police of Santa Cruz of Tenerife and of the Local Police of La Laguna, as well as a representative of the environmental agents of the Cabildo de Tenerife.

During the meeting, a positive balance has been made of the effort made for the establishment of the device carried out during the May long weekend, in which the aim was to streamline traffic in the different protected natural areas due to the high influx of people and vehicles on long weekends and weekends, as well as the prevention of crimes in areas with a high number of people.
