The Autonomous Organization for Festivals and Recreational Activities (OAFAR) of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council has initiated the voting process for the theme of Carnival 2025 on Saturday, 3rd February.

Javier Caraballero, the Festival Councilor, emphasizes the significance of theme voting as the first step for every avid carnival member. Encouraging active participation in the theme selection process, the mayor highlights that any of these options will stimulate the imagination for the various fantasies that our groups and carnival enthusiasts will showcase in 2025.

The public can participate in the consultation through the website carnavaldetenerife.com, and the voting will be open until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, 12th February. To ensure fairness, the computer system will filter out duplicate votes, allowing only one vote per IP address.

The four theme options for the upcoming edition of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival include Ancient Greece, Secrets of Africa, Kingdom of Ice, and Technological Japan. The winning theme will be announced on Sunday, 18th February, at Plaza de La Candelaria, coinciding with the final fireworks display of Carnival 2024.
