On the other hand, Mari Brito took over as Mayor in 2015. The complainants highlight “his inaction and the negative impact of these discharges on the environment and the health of citizens.”
Brito stated that “he is not” going to resign and that he has “a very clear conscience.” He assured that “since I became aware of the existing problems, I acted and worked intensely.
