The Department of Commerce and Local Development of the La Laguna City Councilin collaboration with the Federation of Urban Areas of the Canary Islands (Fauca) and La Laguna Commercial Zone, has decided to expand by 3,000 euros the limit amount for the exchange of vouchers set for the establishments of the 2023 Commerce Campaign.
In this way, any store that is part of this proposal, and that has exchanged at least one voucher since last November 20, will have the possibility of expanding its exchange capacity from 4,200 euros to 7,200 euros, until it is exhausted. the total amount planned for the subsidy.
The mayor of La Laguna, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, announced that the objective of this measure, which comes into force at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, December 22, is to achieve a global economic injection of 1,800,000 euros directly on the commercial sector of the municipality. Furthermore, he recalled that this figure will be possible thanks to the largest investment by the municipal Corporation in the history of this campaign, which for this edition rose to 900,000 euros.
For her part, the Lagunera Councilor for Commerce, Leticia Villegas, explained that, to date, of the more than 55,000 bonds put up for sale in the month of November, only about 2,000 remain to be exchanged. In 2023, a total of 291 companies have joined the campaign.
