Metrotenerife, the Cabildo’s transport company, activates its special Christmas service plan starting today, Saturday, with reinforcements for the next weekends in December. Thus, Line 1 will be circulating with frequencies of 8 minutes on Saturdays and every 10 minutes on Sundays.
In this way, the tram operator improves its weekend transport offer with the aim of facilitating effective, comfortable and fast mobility to the commercial and leisure areas of Santa Cruz and La Laguna in the areas with the highest demand. Likewise, Metrotenerife provides special services for Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year’s Eve and Three Kings’ Eve.
Today, Saturday, December 9, as well as on the 16th, 23rd and 30th, Line 1 will increase the tram service to 8 minutes from 12:00 to 20:00, while on Line 2 they will do so every 16 minutes. For Sundays, the 10th and 17th, the frequencies will be 10 minutes on Line 1 and 15 minutes on Line 2, also between 12:00 and 20:00.
Aside from these reinforcements, the tram network will be operating with the usual weekend schedules and frequencies.
