Man sustains injuries as his residence catches fire in Santa Cruz de Tenerife


A 77-year-old gentleman has been moderately harmed following a fire incident at his dwelling in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, according to reports from the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center of 1-1-2 of the Canary Islands.

The occurrence took place at 4:17 a.m. this Friday, on Buen Paso Street in the Somosierra district of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where the personnel of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) intervened and, after reaching the location, discovered that the gentleman was moderately affected by smoke inhalation, without complications initially. He was then transported by ambulance to the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria University Hospital.

The Tenerife Fire Consortium team also responded to the site of the incident, ventilated the premises, and were supported by officers from the Local Police and National Police who cordoned off the area and cooperated with other emergency services.
