SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov. 10 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Government Chamber of the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TSJC), meeting in plenary session and unanimously, has agreed to show its most “strong rejection” of the investiture agreement signed between PSOE and Junts that includes ‘lawfare’, the judicialization of politics and the announcement of parliamentary commissions of inquiry to clarify the responsibilities of judges.
In a statement, it details that the agreement constitutes a “frontal attack” on one of the powers of the State and questions the bases of coexistence.
He also points out that it represents an “inadmissible interference” of the legislative power in the powers that the Spanish Constitution “when they seek to purge alleged responsibilities of judges in parliamentary seats”, since in all “civilized” countries that power falls “exclusively” on the judicial power.
“We therefore show our indignation at the investiture document and we trust that all the constitutional and European Union mechanisms will act to prevent such an attack on the rule of law from being carried out,” the TSJC warns.
