The 2023 Carrera por la Vida Foundation Award for the media was awarded to this newspaper’s journalist Juan Carlos Mateu, “for his work and personal commitment from the editorial office of DIARIO DE AVISOS. The 2023 Carrera por la Vida Foundation Award for Research was awarded to Dr. Javier Cortés Castán, “for his medical career in advancing knowledge and improving treatments for female cancer, and for promoting and presiding over the Contigo Foundation as a forum active and committed to clinical and translational research.”
The foundation chaired by Brigitte Gypen emphasizes that support for research groups is “fundamental” to the objectives of Race for Life.

New ‘Love for Life’ calendar

The next edition of the Race for Life will take place on Sunday, December 3, leaving from the Siam Mall shopping center in Adeje, at 10:30 a.m., and arriving at Avenida de Las Américas, in the middle of Arona’s golden mile.
Traditionally, the route of the march is the same, starting in Adeje and arriving in Arona, accompanied by more than 5,000 people who walk a simple path, which is animated by a batucada and has an audience dressed in t-shirts and allusive merchandising, always pink, typical of the foundation.
