SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct. 14 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Since last morning, Maritime Rescue has coordinated the rescue of nine boats with a total of 472 people that were located in waters near Lanzarote, Tenerife and El Hierro, as reported by the public body, the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes). 1-1-2 and Red Cross.
According to the count provided by Cecoes, the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) and Red Cross teams have assessed 29 people in Tenerife, one of whom was transferred to a hospital with dehydration; 97 people in Lanzarote, who were in two boats; and 208 in El Hierro, who were traveling in three boats.
To all of them we must add a total of 138 migrants rescued by Maritime Rescue from three boats located in the waters of Lanzarote and who have been treated this afternoon at the Puerto del Rosario dock, in Fuerteventura. Two were taken to the hospital and the rest were in good general condition.
