The Auditorium of the University of La Laguna (ULL) hosts on October 12 two performances of ‘Dumbo, the musical’, Inspired by the popular Disney movie. Work by Jesus Sanz – Sebastián, the performance will have two times, at 12:00 p.m. and at 5:00 p.m., at a price of 20 euros.
The story of Dumbo is well known: a small elephant with huge ears who has just joined the impressive “Circus of Time”. However, in this new environment, Dumbo becomes an object of ridicule due to his particular ears. Despite the teasing, Dumbo stands firm thanks to his friend, Peanut the mouse. Together they discover that what he considered his greatest flaw is, in fact, a wonderful gift: Dumbo can fly using his giant ears as wings.
“Dumbo, the musical” is built on a solid foundation that carries with it a powerful message: the fight against bullying. This work uses two powerful educational tools, the theater and music, to address this problem. Beyond its focus on social assistance to combat this serious problem that affects young people, “Dumbo, the musical” is a vibrant and colorful show, accompanied by happy songs that provide a context where children, adolescents and adults can enjoy together.
