Víctor Pacheco and Acaymo Padrino finished yesterday the mural that beautifies Villa Nueva avenue, in the urban area of La Guancha. This work “intends to reflect the musical tradition of the town”, according to the Department of Culture of the City of La Guancha directed by Lorena Socas.
The mural is part of the municipal beautification project called 38440G. An initiative that has made it possible, up to now, to incorporate other art exhibitions concluded a few months ago and that are found in school bus canopies. In them traditional games are represented, such as bowling or kites, in those works located in El Convento and Las Montañetas, respectively.
The second phase, to which these murals belong and for which the councilor announces that she will continue shortly with the development of others, has a municipal investment estimated at around 15,000 euros.
Lorena Socas recalls that from the local government “we try to continue enhancing our main hallmarks.” They do so with this set of elaborate murals “some large and others somewhat smaller”. All of them are located in different areas of the municipality.
