SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 26 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
On Friday, a small canoe carrying 117 individuals of sub-Saharan descent arrived at the shores of El Hierro, docking at the La Restinga port with the assistance of the Salvamar Adhara from Maritime Rescue.
The rescue team located the vessel 10 nautical miles south of the port. Upon arrival at the dock, the Canary Islands Emergency Coordination Centre Cecoes-112 and the Red Cross provided necessary assistance, and fortunately, no one required transfer to a medical facility.
According to the Red Cross, the migrants reached El Hierro at around 10 am on Friday.
