This past week, the streets of the city of La Laguna became the epicenter of the events planned by the City Council to commemorate World Tourism Day 2023, which in this edition has had the global motto Tourism and green investments.
Thus, hundreds of laguneros and visitors enjoyed, on September 27 and 28, activities such as gastronomic tastings, beer tastings, exhibitions of old photos, informative talks and street activities, as an example of the great cultural offer and leisure that the municipality offers to its visitors, as highlighted by the Laguna City Council.
The mayor of La Laguna, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, remarked that “this type of proposals highlights the tourist weight that our territory is assuming on the Island and, especially, the conciliation proposal that we promote from this administration between the activity of this sector. and respect for the environment and our green heritage.”
For her part, the Lagunera councilor for the Tourism Area, Leticia Villegas, explained that the program designed by her department has completed its first week of events in the street, but will continue between today and next Sunday thanks to an extensive agenda of Free guided routes that will show the natural charms and emblematic enclaves of La Laguna.
In this sense, people interested in participating in some of these routes may formalize their registration and request more information at the Tourist Information Office, through the contact telephone number 922 631 195 or on the website https://turismo.aytolalaguna .es/dia-internacional-del-turismo/, as pointed out by the local Consistory.
