The Roads area of the Cabildo de Tenerife continues with the rehabilitation of the TF-1 during this week. The works will cover, this time, three different sections, in a total of 1,500 meters of track, around the accesses of Tajao, Environmental Complex, Tenerife South Airport, San Isidro, El Médano, Granadilla and Granadilla Industrial Park, in different nights.
This week’s performance will run from Sunday night to Friday morning, the 28th. Once again they will be held at night, between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., in order to minimize the impact on road traffic and reduce inconvenience to road users.
During this week the rehabilitation will be carried out in three different sections, all in the direction of the road towards Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The first of these will cover the area between kilometer points 46 and 46.6, with the entrance link to Tajao and the Environmental Complex (46) being affected on Sunday and Monday nights. On Tuesday, the 25th, the works will take place between kilometers 57.9 and 58.6. This time, the Tenerife Sur Airport links (59) and San Isidro/Granadilla/El Médano (57) must remain closed.
Starting at 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, the resurfacing will move to the area of the Granadilla Industrial Estate, specifically between kilometers 52.5 and 53.9, which will affect the two links to access it, in the direction of the capital of Tenerife.
To guarantee circulation, the Cabildo will establish alternatives for closed roads. The first two nights, vehicles traveling in the direction of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and wishing to access the Tajao/Complejo Ambiental interchange (46), must continue to the Villa de Arico/Abades interchange (42), where they can make a change direction and return, heading south, to the destination area.
On the other hand, drivers intending to join the highway from these areas towards Santa Cruz will have to drive south to the Granadilla Industrial Estate junction (51), to make the U-turn and drive north.
On the night of Tuesday the 25th, those drivers who, in the direction of Santa Cruz, seek to access the airport complex or the towns of San Isidro, Granadilla or El Médano must continue to exit 52 of the Polígono Industrial de Granadilla, Acceso B, where they can make a U-turn to rejoin the road heading south to reach the desired locations. Those who want to drive north from the airport can head towards Adeje to change the direction of traffic at junction 62 Los Abrigos/San Miguel/Las Galletas.
On the nights of Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27, to access the Granadilla Industrial Estate, in the direction of the capital, drivers must continue to the Chimiche/El Río/Las Maretas junction (49) where they can make a U-turn and use the southbound link. Those who, from this area, want to access the road in the direction of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, will have to join it heading south to change direction at the San Isidro exit.
These works are part of the TF-1 rehabilitation plan that has been carried out since last April and which includes an approximate execution period of fourteen months. In total, the works, carried out by SACYR, will comprise nearly 40 kilometers of the road between Adeje and Arico.
