SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov. 21. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Deputy of the Common, Rafael Yanes, on behalf of all the staff of the Institution, has expressed his deep sadness at the death of Jerónimo Saavedra, former president of the Government of the Canary Islands, former minister and former Deputy of the Common.
“His death leaves a void that is difficult to fill. Our Autonomous Community cannot be understood without Jerónimo Saavedra, who was a reference in the social and political life of the Canary Islands,” said Rafael Yanes.
He highlighted that as a Common Deputy he carried out an important task in defending the rights of the most vulnerable people and recognized that it has been a true honor for him to replace him.
“He was always willing to advise me based on his recognized experience and capacity for dialogue,” he added.
