SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, September 6 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The national president of the Popular Party and proposed candidate for the investiture as president of the Government of Spain, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, visited the Parliament of the Canary Islands for the first time this Wednesday, where he was received by the president of the Chamber, Astrid Pérez.
Alberto Núñez Feijóo went to the Parliament of the Canary Islands accompanied by the vice president of the Government of the Canary Islands and president of the PP in the archipelago, Manuel Domínguez, and together with Astrid Pérez they toured some of the main rooms of the institution.
In the chamber, Feijóo was interested in the history and works of art of the Chamber’s headquarters, a building designed in 1883 by the architect Manuel de Oraá that, throughout its 140 years of history, has housed the Musical Society Santa Cecilia or the meetings of the members of the Provincial Council and the Commonwealth of Councils of the archipelago, includes a note from the Chamber.
Feijóo spoke with the president of the Chamber about current political and parliamentary issues after signing the institution’s Book of Honor, where he wanted to leave “testimony of brotherhood and admiration to the people of the Canary Islands.”
Astrid Pérez highlighted that “it has been a pleasure to receive in the home of all the Canarians the candidate proposed by His Majesty King Felipe VI to run for the investiture as President of the Government of Spain.”
After the family photo with the deputies who make up the Popular Parliamentary Group, Núñez Feijóo held a meeting in the Cabildos Room with parliamentarians, senators and other public officials.
