The Health Minister of Government of the Canary Islands, Esther Monzón, presided today, Tuesday, September 5, over the inauguration of new senior officials in his department. At the event, held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Health in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, were present, in addition to other members of the management team of the Ministry and the SCSthe new managing director of the University Hospital of Canary Islands (H.U.C.), Adasat Goya González, and the new manager of the Health Services of the Lanzarote Health Area, Pablo Eguia del Río, who also join their new positions.

Esther Machín Henríquez, director of the Lanzarote Health Area

In this sector he has worked in Travel Timanfaya, Distribuciones LYC and Degustaciones Canarias, among other companies. Esther Machín was in tenth place on the list of CC to the Lanzarote Council in the elections last May, led by Oswaldo Betancort, current island president. Pablo Eguia del Río, manager of Health Services in Lanzarote

He has been president of the Canarian Society of Neurology and member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Society of Neurology. Since 2008, he has practiced as a neurologist and head of Neurology at the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital and as a neurologist at the University Hospital of Gran Canaria Doctor Negrín, although he has previously carried out his work at different levels of care such as Primary Care and Hospital Emergencies. He is a teaching collaborator in the training of specialists in Neurology and principal investigator in several research studies in the area of Multiple Sclerosis.
Rafael Luis Martín Domínguez, director of the Tenerife Health Area

In her professional career she has served as head of management of the Tenerife packaging plant of the island company Simpromi. He has also been environmental treatment and management manager at the Prezero Waste Management firm at Ferrovial Servicios, an employee of the Property Registry and the Liquidation Office of the Property Registry. In the field of teaching, he has taught Personal Administrative, Accounting Administrative and Office Clerk courses, organized by ICFEM and MBA La Laguna.
Cecilia Sánchez Rodríguez, director of the La Palma Health Area
Higher Technician in Administration and Finance. He has complementary training in the specialties of admission, clinical information and documentation, occupational risk prevention and administrative procedure regulations. In his professional career he has served as an administrative assistant in various public and private entities such as the Canarian Health Service and the Island Council of La Palma, where until now he was part of the Infrastructure service.
Eva Ravelo González, director of the La Gomera Health Area
Graduate in Pedagogy from the University of La Laguna (ULL). She is a senior technician in Early Childhood Education at the IES Orotava and a sociocultural monitor at the CIP La Laguna. Between 2005 and 2020 she took courses on psychological intervention in crisis situations and on authoring tools for the generation of web educational materials at the ULL. She studied psychosocial occupational risk prevention, administrative assistant, revitalization of children’s activities and disabilities, office automation and English for customer service. In recent years she has worked as a child education technician at the Valle Gran Rey City Council.
Adasat Goya González, manager of the Canary Islands University Hospital
Graduate in Economics from the University of La Laguna. Opponent of the national qualified scale of Auditors-Treasurers in Local Public Administrations in the 2006 procedure. Second cycle student of the Bachelor of Business Administration and Management (currently Degree). In his professional career, he has carried out tasks as a deputy director of Municipal Services in the company El Sauzal since 2007. In the political field, between 2007 and 2023 he has served as councilor for Economy and Finance, Police, Civil Protection, Transport and Municipal Enterprise in the El Sauzal City Council. Stevedoring Ports of Tenerife at Sestife CPE since 2006, he was coordinator of the Tenerife Container Terminal.
