With the aim of alleviating the highway queuesthe Cabildo of Tenerife has implemented a measure that restricts the circulation of waste trucks during certain hours of the day. The initiative seeks to reduce the burden on the TF-5 and TF-1two of the busiest.
The measure will eliminate a total of 60 trips a week on both roads between 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.a critical time slot, especially after 7 a.m., when congestion is most pronounced.
The restriction is already in operation on the TF-5, and will come into force next Monday, September 4, on the TF-1.
The Minister of Mobility of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Eulalia García, assures that this restriction will not affect the quality of the service provided to the municipalities and citizens in relation to waste management.
In addition, the counselor highlighted that it is essential to take concrete measures to facilitate the gradual decrease in traffic and thus improve mobility throughout the Island.
This initiative is part of a broader plan by the Cabildo de Tenerife to address the traffic and mobility challenges facing the region. This restriction on the movement of waste trucks is expected to contribute significantly to reducing congestion on the busiest roads.
