He Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council will begin this Saturday, September 2, coinciding with the ‘Back to School’ campaign, an extensive commercial revitalization program in various neighborhoods of the municipality. This has been communicated by the mayor of Santa Cruz, José Manuel Bermúdezwho has valued “these 100 hours of dynamization planned in nine different neighborhoods of the Anaga, Centro-Ifara and Salud-La Salle districtsare linked to the road map of the current government team that seeks to Santa Cruzin all its neighborhoods and not only in the center, have activities designed for the whole family”.
In this sense, Bermúdez has stressed that “these initiatives that combine culture, leisure and commercial promotion are an important claim so that the entire family, visitors and tourists have a meeting and consumption point in Santa Cruz” and added that “this plan “The revitalization is carried out through the DUSI strategy project ‘Anaga en el Corazón-Santa Cruz de Tenerife’, 85% co-financed with FEDER funds and will be held every Saturday until November.”
For her part, the CEO of the Development Society, Carmen Pérez, explained that “coinciding with the ‘Back to School’ campaign, we started a broad revitalization program, which will include children’s workshops, parades and guided routes, specifically it is about of 51 activities distributed among 22 children’s workshops of different themes, 11 parades of 2 different types and 18 guided routes” and added that the locations of these initiatives will be in neighborhoods located from Taganana or Almáciga to La Salud and from Residencial Anaga to San Andrés” .
“This is a novel initiative, as it is the first time that the Municipal Corporation has deployed a program of this type with more than 50 entertainment activities on public roads, of various kinds, that will benefit in a short period of time, to 9 neighborhoods and, especially, to its commercial fabric and to the residents of three Districts of the municipality, that is, Centro Ifara, Salud La Salle and Anaga, with nearly 100 hours of entertainment distributed over 12 consecutive Saturdays,” said Pérez. .
Carmen Pérez also highlighted that “among the objectives of this plan are attracting potential clients to the places where activities are held to boost consumption and boost commerce in these areas, offering residents a wide range of free outdoor leisure close to shopping places and publicize the historical attractions, heritage and resources of Anaga and its adjoining neighborhoods”.

Likewise, the musical group ‘Mariachi Atlántico’, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., will tour José Carlos Schwartz Square, Venezuela Avenue and Las Indias Park, while from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., it will energize the area outside the Residencial Anaga playground, and which will be complemented with a tour in San Andrés, from 1:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m., through the streets of the town, from Pedro Schwartz Avenue to Las Adelfas Plaza.
