SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 5 (EUROPA PRESS)
The Canary Islands Seismic Network operated by the Canary Islands Volcano Institute (Involcan) has registered a small ‘seismic swarm’ of around 20 low-magnitude earthquakes at dawn this Wednesday.
In total, 17 of them have been located whose hypocenters are located in the surroundings of the municipality of Santiago del Teide at depths of approximately 40 kilometers and with a maximum registered magnitude of 1.5.
From the National Geographic Institute (IGN) they affirm that they continue to evaluate this new seismic series on the island that, for now, does not mean “any change” in the state of volcanic activity.
