The Drug and Organized Crime Unit of the National Police has dismantled a criminal organization dedicated to the trafficking of narcotic substances in Canary Islands whose ultimate goal was the distribution of the drug in Tenerife after the arrest of 13 people, as reported by the Superior Police Headquarters of the Canary Islands.
The investigation began at the end of last year 2022 when the agents learned about an individual who, within the framework of a broader criminal organization, was engaged in the transport of drugs by sea from Gran Canaria to Tenerife, for its distribution to the local distributors of this last island.
