One of the satellites of the European program copernicus has captured a spectacular image of the island of Tenerife surrounded by clouds. Cloudiness affects the northern and southeastern slopes, while Mount Teide opens up and the sun shines in the inland area. On the other hand, in the southwestern part there is a light cloudiness.
This perspective makes it possible to clearly appreciate the different climates that can occur at the same time on the island due to its abrupt orography, which traps clouds in some areas while leaving clear skies in others.
The meteorologist Mario Picazzo has shared the beautiful snapshot on his Twitter account and has stated that Tenerife had “a white beard”.
