In a statement the Tenerife Neighborhood Alliance recalled this Sunday that during a visit to a “sex-shop” in the capital of Tenerife, Carlos Tarife took a picture of himself with a contraption in the shape of a penis, about which they consider that the popular candidate “has every right and freedom to do everything whatever he wants, always within the legality, ethics and morality in his electoral campaign”.
And the residents of Santa Cruz also have “the right and freedom” to express their opinion about that photo and their conduct, which has caused “a scandal on social networks and in the media,” they say.
They assert that they are extremely concerned “and terrified” that Carlos Tarife is not aware of having done something wrong and therefore they understand that “by deduction he is irresponsible, a dangerous thing in a candidate for municipal politics.”
At the same time, they reiterate that they consider a lack of respect towards the neighbors that Tarife has described those who have criticized said act as “retrogrades”, for which they demand a rectification and public apologies and if the candidate does not do it, they add, they should do so. “the senior political leaders of your party”.
