The Civil Guard opens a new detachment in the Teide National Park



He Council of Tenerife has delivered to the Civil Guard the keys to the facilities for the new detachment that will be installed in the Teide National Park.

In this way, the service that the armed institute will offer in the protected natural space is enabled, as had been advanced after the efforts of the Natural Environment and Security area of ​​the insular institution, as reported this Saturday by the Tenerife Council in a statement.

These facilities are located in the El Portillo area and will have several rooms so that the device for the National Park can manage the necessary procedures, deposit necessary material for the service, make shift changes and rest and eat, since it has a Small kitchen.

The Cabildo specifies that in no case will these dependencies be an office for receiving complaints.

The Councilor for Natural Environment Management and Security of the Cabildo, Isabel García, handed over the keys to the facility to the interim chief lieutenant colonel of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Command, Juan Carlos Lafuente.

The event was also attended by the Government sub-delegate in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Jesús Plata, the director of the Teide National Park, Manuel Durban, the insular director of Security, Rubén Fernández and the lieutenant chief of Seprona, lieutenant Carlos Sánchez, along with to agents of the Environment of the National Park.
