In the penultimate ordinary session of the mandate and with the vote in favor of the municipal government (CC-PP) – the opposition (PSOE, Sí Podemos and Ciudadanos) voted against -, the Plenary approved the Budget of the Granadilla de Abona City Council for this anus. It amounts to 56,165,000 euros, experiences real growth of 10% compared to 2022will be on public display period for 15 days and it is the largest amount in the history of the municipality of Granada.

There is also an increase in the grants for scholarships and for infant school; the item for all orders to improve general services to citizens, the new beaconing of La Jaquita, the future Local Police station and security on the beaches.
The works
For investments in all neighborhoods, 2,500,782 euros are reserved, 12% more than in 2022. The list includes the urbanizations of Rosario La Maestra streets, Isla Alegranza and Isla de El Hierro (San Isidro); La Fragata (Los Abrigos), Callejón Artesano and Chimisay (Granadilla), Casablanca, La Sabina (El Salto), El Pilón, Aseró, La Peña, Cho Coello, El Barrero and Mantillo (Charco del Pino); La Fuente and Mocán (La Higuera); San Benito (The Whites); El Tejal, La Finca and Tamarco (Vista Gorda); El Paso, Achamán Bajo and La Criba (Yaco) and Los Zurrones (Cruz de Tea).

This chapter includes the necessary investment in the Los Abrigos fish market, the Atogo sidewalk, the El Médano tourist office, the acquisition of the Chimiche civic center, new playgrounds, calisthenics and bio-healthy playgrounds, in addition to the acquisition of the old Recova for a farmer’s market, orthopedic material, alarms for educational centers and the installation of photovoltaic panels at Finca Las Crucitas.
The Councilor for Economy and Finance, Rubén García, emphasized the commitment to the most vulnerable, the increase in the budget to develop programs with the third sector, more means for civil protection and local police, and more resources for cultural groups and the promotion of culture, as well as for the tourist brand of Granadilla de Abona.
