The detainee, investigated for an alleged crime of sexual assault, has invoked his right not to declare. He is prohibited from leaving Tenerife and must appear weekly in court to sign (apud act).
DNA results are awaited to determine whether or not he is the author in fact.
The judge of the Investigating Court No. 2 of Arona will be inhibited in favor of the Investigating Court No. 1 of Arona, which is the one that was on duty on January 30, the day the alleged sexual assault occurred.
The arrest took place this Monday and from that moment the Family and Women’s Care Unit (UFAM) of the National Police took charge of the investigation of this case, in which “all the established protocols” have been applied to protect and care for the victim, as well as to take a statement from him, police sources said.
