The Adam Martin de Santa Cruz Auditorium will host Gamelab Tenerife Summit (TFE2022), a video game summit in which more than 50 founders, executives and investors specialized in video games will participate, from the 25th to the 28th of this month, to “analyze the current challenges and the best strategies to strengthen the European ecosystem in this sector”. In addition to Spain, the countries represented at this event will be Germany, China, Turkey, Denmark, the Netherlands, Sweden, France, Great Britain, Estonia, Romania, Italy, Finland, Portugal, South Africa, Ireland and Saudi Arabia.
The island councilor for Innovation, Enrique Arriaga, points out that “Gamelab Tenerife is an unprecedented commitment on the island that will not only promote the generation of job and tourism, but it will also show the professional possibilities offered by the Canary Islands in the video game industry». To this he adds that “it is one of the most important video game events that will take place this year in Europe, and we have managed to get prominent representatives of the sector to participate in it.”
The event, promoted by the Group dinosaur and HiperDino, will be the first meeting of these characteristics organized by Gamelab and, in the words of its director, Iván Fernández Lobo, “it represents a pioneering experience at a continental level and a unique opportunity for the leaders of the European sector to share their vision, their challenges and their experience”.
Gamelab is a global cultural organization, founded in 2005 and whose structure has gradually accommodated a select interdisciplinary community of global leaders at the intersection of entertainment, the arts, technology and social change. The director of Marketing and Communication of HiperDino, Carlos García, pointed out that, “as promoters of the Canarian Esports HiperDino League, this is the next logical step in Tenerife in terms of innovation and technology.” And he added: “We are delighted to support such an ambitious project as Gamelab Tenerife.”
