Unterhaching street in Costa Adeje is already displaying the new sculpture by the island artist Alejandro Tosco, entitled Love. A public space in the south of Tenerife has been the place chosen for a project whose main objective is social awareness. The Ukrainian businessman based in Spain Vladyslav Pozdnyakov, focused on the construction sector, is the promoter of the initiative.
Pozdnyakov is currently developing the Siam Gardens project. For several years he has supported the social initiatives of the Adeje City Council, such as Abuel @ solidario, which helps children, or the Food Bank. «From the beginning I have felt very protected and helped by the Spanish people. Therefore, I want to be useful and contribute to society. An example of this is this sculpture, Love, “says the Ukrainian on the action’s website.
The artist Alejandro Tosco points out that the purpose of this leftover is “to send a message of universal love to society in an increasingly digitized world that isolates us in our own bubbles.” “It is a sculpture that speaks the universal language of human beings to break down walls and remind us of the power we have to change the planet, even with small details,” he details.
Alejandro Tosco is an artist who, through his works, is capable of transmitting poetic metaphors of desire and utopia. His work stems from sensitivity to nature, both at the level of responsibility and of feeling and representation. President of the Círculo de Bellas Artes de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, a collaborator with several charitable organizations and active in issues of social awareness and protection of nature, Vladyslav Pozdnyakov opted for him, considering him “the perfect person to carry out this project”.
The symbolic color red
Like its red color that represents love and a green circle that represents oxygen and hope. The work was made of corten steel and has a height of 3 meters and a half. In addition, this work hides an endearing secret. A box has been deposited next to the sculpture containing positive messages from the elderly and children of the municipality of Adeje and other members of society, which will be buried for posterity.
This project fuses the construction and the settlement in an area of the public highway that looks at the ocean of a work of art, together with the elaboration of a process of social awareness whose purpose is to send a message of love to the world, contributing values, teaching and an example for the citizenry.
