Recently, the Santiago del Teide City Council presented the prizes to the winners of the VIII edition of the Contest “Ornate Crosses on Facades 2023”, integrated into the cultural project “Crux-23” and whose act of reading the minutes and subsequent delivery was held at the Tamaimo Social Center.
Thus, it is worth mentioning that the winners of the new edition of the aforementioned contest were:
“INDIVIDUAL” CATEGORY:
– First prize: Alicia Leon Fleitas from Tamaimo.
– Second prize: Priscilla Garcia Santana from the broom
– Third award: Belinda Cairos Gonzalez from Arguayo.
CATEGORY “ASSOCIATIONS AND/OR COLLECTIVES”:
First prize: San Fernando Rey Parish from Santiago del Teide.
– Second prize: Santa Ana Festival Commission of Tamaimo 2022-2023.
– Third award: Socio-cultural Association San Pedro from Santiago del Teide.
CATEGORY “EDUCATIONAL CENTERS”:
First prize: CEIP Jose Esquivel from Port of Santiago.
– Second prize: CEIP Aurelio Emilio Acostafrom Arguayo.
– Third award: CEIP Tamaimo.
In said act, in which the prize was also delivered to Alexander Rodriguez Lawrenceauthor of the cross participating in the exhibition of crosses “CruXarte Tamaimo: an art walk” that obtained the most “likes” in the social networks of the consistory, a gift was delivered to the different associations of the Third Age of the municipality as well as well as the Tamaimo Neighborhood Association, for the involvement of each one of them in terms of the good development of the aforementioned event organized on the occasion of the Day of the Cross.
Finally, it is worth mentioning that during the event those gathered there were able to enjoy the musical show “Violetas”, with which we were able to enjoy the incredible musical talent of the Majorero timplist Victor Estárico who, accompanied by the voice of the singer Belinda Falcón, revived through her show numerous songs by some of the most powerful women of our time in the music scene.
