SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 30 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife has approved this Friday in plenary session an institutional motion in which all groups agree to support the rescue of excess taxi licenses in the municipality of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in order to guarantee the provision of this public transport service so important for the mobility of citizens.
The island corporation also asks the Santa Cruz City Council to, as soon as possible, provide all the necessary documentation to promote the approval of a collaboration agreement between both institutions that allows this rescue, quantified in 150 licenses, to become a reality.
In this context, the City Council is asked to submit an updated economic study on the market value of taxi licenses in the municipality to determine the exact amount of financing that the Cabildo will carry out, and which is set at 45% of the amount total economic rescue, picks up a note from the Cabildo.
At the same time, and as part of the documentation that must be sent, the City Council is asked to transfer to the Cabildo a study on the ratio of taxi licenses and a draft of the agreement.
Once the collaboration agreement has been approved, the island corporation will advance the total amount of the financing that corresponds to the capital City Council, a procedure that is expected to be carried out before the end of the year.
This will be communicated to the member associations of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Taxi Board, with whose members the president, Pedro Martín, held a meeting in recent days to address their demands and needs, and seek solutions to this problem.
