The Los Menores-Armeñime-Playa Paraíso link, in Adeje; and 7.6 kilometers distributed between Abades and Parque de la Reina (Arico-Arona) are the spaces in which the Area of Roads and Mobility of the Cabildo de Tenerife is approaching the end of the works to rehabilitate the Autopista del Sur (TF- 1). As before, the work will take place between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. between tonight and Friday morning. This is to “minimize the inconvenience to drivers due to the lower influx of traffic.”
The works are distributed this week during the nights of Sunday and Monday, at link 81, which corresponds to Los Menores-Armeñime-Playa Paraíso, in the municipality of Adejero (81). Tonight, in addition, it is also scheduled to intervene in the Adeje link.
The Minister of Highways, Enrique Arriaga, explains that the works of this phase are about to be completed and that “with this intervention, driving safety and comfort are significantly increased.”
The works are nearing completion and will be carried out between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. from today
Likewise, on Tuesday the section located between kilometer points 43.8 and 44.8 will be addressed; and on Wednesday the one that covers kilometers 46.6 to 50.2, both located between the ariquera town of Abades and the Granadilla Industrial Estate. On Thursday night, the cut for the works will cover the right lane of the highway between kilometer points 54 and 57, which runs between San Isidro (Granadilla de Abona) and Parque de la Reina (Arona).
This Sunday, the 11th, vehicles wishing to go to Santa Cruz de Tenerife from the areas adjacent to junction 81 (Los Menores-Armeñime-Playa Paraíso), must leave for Guía de Isora to make a U-turn at the junction really from Erques-San Juan Beach (87).
Also, during this same night, vehicles that need to access or leave Adeje, may use link 81 (Los Menores-Armeñime-Playa Paraíso). Those who circulate in the direction of the capital and intend to use link 79, will have to continue until the Costa Adeje-La Caleta-Playa Fañabé exit (78) to change the direction of traffic.
Arriaga points out that this intervention “increases driving safety and comfort”
On Monday, drivers who, from Los Menores, Armeñime and Playa Paraíso seek to go to Adeje, must access through link 79 (access to the town). On the other hand, those who want to leave for Guía de Isora should drive towards Santa Cruz until junction 78 (Adeje-La Caleta-Playa Fañabé), where they can make a U-turn.
During Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday there will be no total road closure and the work will only be carried out in the right lane. For this reason, vehicles will be able to circulate in the left lane on the affected sections.
These works are part of the TF-1 resurfacing plan that has been carried out since last April 2021. In total, the works, carried out by Sacyr, comprise almost 40 kilometers of track between Adeje and Arico.
