SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 25 Aug. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The National Police has activated the search for the German citizen Oliver Heise who has disappeared on the island of Tenerife since last August 4, so it requests citizen collaboration and maximum dissemination to locate him.
Heise is a young ‘backpacker’, fond of hiking, 23 years old, 1.85 meters tall, normal complexion, reddish brown hair, brown eyes and white complexion, picks up a note from the Police.
In the body there is evidence that he flew from Hannover to Gran Canaria on August 3 and arrived in Tenerife by boat the next day, around noon.
That same day, he posted a photograph on social networks showing his location in the area of the Los Berros municipal deposit, in El Rosario, below the Las Raíces recreational area.
Since then, the Police point out, he has not had any activity on social networks, his family has lost contact with him and his phone is turned off.
For this reason, the mother filed a complaint in Germany that has reached the National Police through international cooperation mechanisms.
The agents have been on his trail for some time with all available means, including canine guides specialized in the search for biological remains, but so far the result has been unsuccessful.
Only last Saturday, August 20, at 06:00 a.m., the manager of a bar in the area stated that he had seen a boy with those characteristics walking up the Pico de las Flores, near where he published his last photograph on networks. .
Apparently, according to what the research group that has analyzed the data on his phone has learned, his intention was to walk the islands of Tenerife and La Gomera, so, although he can be found in the area, it is not ruled out that he would have moved to the south of the island.
The last active positioning of his phone, on August 5, placed him in Güímar, so it is considered that his trajectory was towards the south of the island, either along the coast or inland.
The National Police has all avenues of investigation open and requests citizen collaboration to help locate him, with information related to trails, shelters or camping communities being of special interest.
In addition to her features, Heise would wear a brown Palestinian hat, a brown djellaba, a maroon fanny pack, and a frayed brown backpack.
