SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 12 Aug. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Agents of the National Police have arrested a 26-year-old man with a police record in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, as the alleged perpetrator of the crimes of robbery with force in things, identity theft and document forgery.
The arrest occurred after agents of the National Police showed up at a vacation apartment in the César Casariego area after being requested by the occupant of one of the rooms who told them that his neighbor had stolen $2,000, the computer and the credit card, as reported by the police force in a press release.
Subsequently, the agents met with the accused, who was about to leave the apartment, and verified in the control of his personal effects that he had two IDs, whose theft had been reported by two residents of Gran Canaria, in addition to having a ticket of flight and a high-end smartphone purchased in the name of one of those two citizens.
In addition, thanks to the instant diligence carried out at the police station, they learned that this person had met one of the residents of Gran Canaria through social networks, thanks to a profile with false data.
The citizen of Gran Canaria verified when he returned home that his wallet, with his ID and credit cards had been taken from him, so from that moment on the victim’s “ordeal” began, since they made undue charges on him in the card, they opened a bank account and a telephone line in his name, fraudulently.
For all these reasons, and after the agents found the computer, the money and the hidden cards in the common areas of the apartment and that had initially motivated the intervention, they proceeded to arrest the young man, who had a police record for similar events in other cities. Spanish.
