The National Geographic Institute (IGN) has detected today, Monday, an earthquake in waters close to Tenerifeas reported by this body through a Twitter account.
The earthquake, which was not felt by the population, occurred shortly after 09:30 am, specifically at 09:36 am, and at a depth of 19 kilometers.
In the last three days, the IGN has reported a dozen small tremors around the Island of Tenerife, five of them this past Sunday.
The earthquake of greater magnitude (2.3 mbLg) occurred a short distance from the one recorded today and at a depth of 13 kilometers.
