Canarian Coalition denounces the stoppage of the expansion of the Tacoronte health center, work that should have been completed more than a year ago. This is what the regional deputy Rosa Dávila affirms. He recalls that it was the previous government, presided over by his party, that promoted this project, but “we do not know the reason for the stoppage” of the work, for which he lamented “the lack of transparency of the Canarian Government and the Tacoronte City Council with this issue”.
The expansion of the health center was awarded for 2.6 million euros, with an execution period of almost two years (or 700 days, as it appears in the specifications). The works should have been completed by mid-June 2021. «We do not know if the company has gone bankrupt, if it has requested an extension of the deadlines or if it has made a modification to the project. We have no information on what has been done and what is missing, since everything is fenced off and, furthermore, no one provides information, ”denounces the municipal spokesman for CC in Tacoronte.
Álvaro Dávila also criticized that the current Tacorontero government “has not been the least bit concerned about this serious situation, since they are more concerned with their internal fights than with solving the problems of the residents of Tacoronte.”
