The Minister of Social Action, Marián Franquet, met with the representatives of the works council of the women workers of the Insular Service for Attention to Women (SIAM) of the Mundo Nuevo company and the USO union, to analyze and evaluate the services and attention provided to women and minors who are victims of gender-based violence. The workers emphasized the delay in the collection of payroll. In this sense, the also president of the IASS, Marián Franquet, promised to make “the necessary efforts so that the payment to the company occurs in a timely manner and does not affect or disrupt its normality.” The island official guaranteed the work to expand and improve the service offices.
