SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, July 17. (EUROPE PRESS) –
A woman, whose age is unknown, has died and five other people have been injured of varying degrees in a traffic accident that occurred last morning on the South Highway (TF-1), as it passed through the municipality of Guía de Isora , in Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The event occurred minutes before three in the morning, when the 1-1-2 operating room received an alert reporting a traffic accident, with four vehicles involved, at kilometer 90 of the TF-1, so Cecoes immediately activated the necessary emergency resources to intervene in the area.
Members of the Tenerife Firefighters Consortium, two basic life support ambulances and another medicalized ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC), agents of the Civil Guard and personnel from the Road Maintenance Service of the Cabildo de Tenerife traveled to the scene.
Firefighters secured the damaged vehicles and freed one of its occupants from inside the passenger compartment. SUC staff confirmed the death of one of those affected, a woman. In addition, he assessed and assisted six other people, including a 2-year-old minor who was unharmed, and they were transferred to different hospitals.
Those affected are three women aged 19, 20 and 44 years old and two men aged 44 and 48 years old, who at the initial moment of assistance presented various injuries of a moderate nature, except for complications.
The Civil Guard made the corresponding statement and personnel from the Highway Conservation Service carried out cleaning work on the road.
