SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, July 15 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands reports that since the last data update last Tuesday, 1,899 new positives in Covid-19 have been registered in the archipelago among people over 60 years of age, which is the population group to which follows up after the acute phase of the pandemic has passed.
Thus, the accumulated number of cases of coronavirus among this group in the Canary Islands amounts to 87,627 people and the Cumulative Incidence at 14 days stands at 1,656.33 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 7 days at 785.56.
Currently in the archipelago there are 480 people admitted with coronavirus -which represents an increase of 4.5% in the last week-, of which 31 are in the ICU and the rest, 449, on the ward.
On the other hand, in the last three days there have been 13 deaths, eight reported in Tenerife and five in Gran Canaria.
All the people, aged between 73 and 91, except for one 48-year-old case, had previous pathologies and were hospitalized.
