SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 6 May. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The president of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Pedro Martín, has ruled out this Friday making “experiments” and “entanglements” in the remainder of the mandate and will maintain the government pact with Ciudadanos (Cs) and will continue to focus on solving the island’s problems.
“He is not going to set my agenda, the agenda is set by the problems of the island of Tenerife”, he pointed out in statements to journalists, pointing out that the one who has to submit to a matter of trust is the CC-PNC spokesman, Carlos Alonso, because “he has changed so much” in his position during this term “that they don’t even know him in his party.”
Along these lines, he has indicated that “if the CC wants to present something, it should present a censorship”, stressing that the request for a matter of trust “is an occurrence” because the nationalists “have gone wrong” with the strategy of wearing down the Government .
Martín has valued the PP’s outstretched hand to carry out the island’s big projects and denied its alleged “sectarianism” when approving the ten popular resolution proposals in the past debate on the state of the island.
Regarding the opposition practiced by Alonso, he has influenced his continuous changes of position since he lost the presidency, such as the refusal of the tram to Los Rodeos airport, the port of Fonsalía or the purification, where he even coincides with Sí Podemos.
In addition, it has confirmed that they will take the 126 million credit modification to the plenary session, which includes, among others, an item to start the construction of the motor circuit.
In this specific case, he has called on the opposition to abandon “tacticism” because they have always supported this project, apart from the fact that the modification also has other expenses to improve the island slaughterhouse, seven million in employment funds for municipalities or resources destined to Caritas for housing programs.
