The eleventh edition of Tecnológica Santa Cruz incorporates the last two speakers and closes a campus made up of more than a dozen experts. This has been communicated by the CEO of the Development Society, Alfonso Cabello, who explained that “the result of trying to deal with the most burning issues of today’s information and communication technologies such as the metaverse and fake news, we have incorporated two important experts such as the Chief Metaverse Officer of Telefónica, Yaiza Rubio, and the CTO of Newtral, Rubén Míguez”.

In this sense, the mayor has indicated that “Yaiza Rubio, who was already at the 2018 edition of Tecnológica Santa Cruz to talk about cybersecurity, was appointed two weeks ago as Chief Metaverse Officer of Telefónica, so it is one of the the most authoritative voices to address an issue that has recently gained special prominence, especially since Facebook reported that it would allocate an investment of more than 10,000 million dollars for the development of this technology in its company”.

“Precisely, Telefónica and Meta (formerly Facebook) have partnered to launch Open2metaver, an innovation center equipped with state-of-the-art technology, which will be at the service of companies focused on new forms of socialization and immersive experiences of the metaverse,” said the mayor. , who added that “Yaiza Rubio is known as the first Spanish hacker woman to give presentations at events such as DEF CON and Black Hat Briefings, she is an Incibe Honorary cybercooperator, a teacher, has published several books, in addition to having received the Cross of Merit with the White Distinctive of the Civil Guard”.

“The other speaker that we confirm today, and with whom we close the panel of this eleventh edition, is the CTO of Newtral, Rubén Míguez, who will focus his talk on the work that Newtral develops in a real scenario of fighting disinformation through of Artificial Intelligence, and that these days is even more relevant given the warlike events that we are experiencing in Ukraine,” said Cabello.

“As has been happening throughout the 11 editions, we intend to have and address a wide range of topics that are current in the world of ICTs and with these last two additions we make a very important leap in quality, given the people they are and the issues they are going to address,” explained Cabello, who recalled that “taking into account the limited hours and capacity, it is important to purchase tickets as soon as possible, since at this time half of the tickets have been sold. capacity, so people interested in attending can purchase them from the web www.tecnologicasantacruz.com”.

Thus, Tecnológica Santa Cruz 2022 will have more than a dozen speakers from various sectors that can be consulted on the web www.tecnologicasantacruz.comwill take place from March 23 to 27 at the traditional locations of the Guimerá Theater and the La Recova Art Hall, and can also be followed on the “Tecnológica Santa Cruz” channels on Facebook and Twitter, where there will be coverage from minute to minute. minute and whose hashtag will be #TecnológicaSC.

It is organized by the Sociedad de Desarrollo and is sponsored in the Gold category by Worten, in addition to the support, also in the Gold category, of the “la Caixa” Foundation, through CaixaBank, and Mutua Tinerfeña in the Bronze category. Likewise, Worten joins TecnoCon through the naming of the event and which is renamed “TecnoCon Worten”, while Mutua Tinerfeña is also betting on the “Late Fight Technological”. Likewise, the European University of the Canary Islands, Grupo Rahn, +LED, Fred Olsen, Libbys, Bravoure hairdressing salon, Fuente Alta and CIP collaborate.
